How to recover hidden files in a flash drive using command prompt

1Step-By-Step Guide on How To Recover Hidden Files In Your Flash Drive Using Command Prompt

Flash Drive Letter

In this guide I will assume that drive  F: is your Flash Disk which has been infected by a virus thus making some of your files invisible.  When you plug your flash drive into the USB port of your computer, it is mounted as the first open drive. Typically your hard drive is C: and your CD/DVD drive is D:. So often the USB will be mounted as E: or in my case F:.

To know letter of your drive, just plug in the flash disk into the flash drive port and
Click Start>>Computer/My Computer.
Go to Start>>All Programs>>Accessories>>Click Command Prompt.

Alternatively in recent version of windows you can click on Start and in the search box type “cmd” then press enter.

Type F:

then enter. You will notice that the blinking line will go down and display F:\>removing-a-virus-using-comand-prompt

Now type in attrib -s -h -r /s /d then enter, the blinking line will go down again.attrib-s-h-r-s-d

Go to your drive, and see if you can now see all of the hidden files now.
